Salesforce analytics has come a long way! You might remember it originally launching as Wave Analytics almost 10 years ago. It was revolutionary for bringing powerful, interactive analytics directly into the Salesforce platform. Later, it rebranded to Einstein Analytics, emphasizing its integration with Salesforce’s predictive capabilities. Now known as CRM Analytics (or just CRMA), it continues to evolve, offering impressive data transformation, robust data visualization, and predictive insights powered by Einstein Discovery. Despite its evolutions, its core mission remains the same: empowering users to make smarter, data-driven decisions right where they work.

Over the years, hundreds if not thousands of businesses have used CRMA to build complex data models, create insightful and interactive dashboards, and drive better decision making for professionals all over the world.

My own analytics adventure began over five years ago. I started by building analytics solutions in the education and real estate sectors. It was there that I learned firsthand how data could transform operations and strategy, and I was hooked. This experience led me to a consulting role at Atrium, a premier data-focused Salesforce partner. There, I progressed from an associate to a lead, designing and implementing sophisticated analytics solutions for diverse clients including Sony, Fidelity, HPE, and more.

One of the most rewarding parts of my time at Atrium was becoming a technical trainer. I had the privilege of guiding cohorts of bright college graduates, helping them build the skills needed to become successful technical consultants in the Salesforce ecosystem, with a strong focus on data engineering, data science, and analytics.

It was during my time as a trainer that I encountered a significant hurdle. In July 2024, the CRM Analytics and Einstein Discovery certification exam underwent a much-needed update. While this was great for keeping the certification relevant, it instantly rendered most existing study materials outdated or inaccurate.

We saw established platforms like Udemy offering material that no longer aligned with the exam objectives. Quizlet flashcards became unreliable overnight. Exam dump sites, always a risky proposition, were even less trustworthy. Even reputable providers like Focus on Force, popular for other Salesforce certifications, didn’t offer specific materials for CRM Analytics.

Despite dedicating countless hours to study sessions and preparation using the best available (though flawed) resources, I watched my talented trainees struggle with the updated exam. Since practice exams are often the best way to prepare for the actual exams, it was incredibly frustrating to find next to zero reliable and up-to-date resources. This experience highlighted a critical gap in the ecosystem, and it’s precisely why I founded cloudanalytics.pro.
